StringLane

One price for the app.
Nothing for the CLI.

Pricing FAQ

The questions money raises

Does buying the desktop app give me anything on the CLI?
No, and the reverse is also no. They are separately licensed products on separate version numbers, and neither is a trial, tier or upsell of the other. The app is a one-time purchase; the CLI is free to use with no key at all, so there is nothing a licence could unlock on it. If that ever changes, it will be announced as a change rather than discovered in a renewal.
Is this a subscription?
No. The desktop app is bought once and stays yours, including every update within the major version. For comparison, Lokalise lists $144 a month at entry and $999 on its Advanced plan (checked July 2026); that bill arrives every month whether or not you opened the tool.
What does AI translation cost?
Whatever your provider charges you, billed by them directly. StringLane has no usage credits, no per-character fee and no markup, because your strings never pass through our infrastructure — there is none. Point it at a local model such as Ollama or LM Studio and the cost is zero, along with the network round trip.
What happens when the early-adopter price ends?
Nothing, for you. The price you paid is the price you paid; a licence bought at $49 keeps working, and keeps receiving updates within the major version, after the list price moves to $79.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. The 14-day trial exists so you can answer this before paying, and there is a written refund policy if the trial did not surface the problem.
